HOURS: * hours per week over 3 days

DROGHEDA YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
Drogheda Youth Development was established in *
to address the need for a youth service in the town. Our aim is to
promote and support youth work in a way that impacts on young people
to bring about positive social change.
Supports provided includes the following:
* Targeted youth programmes and supports
* Recreational Activities – Board Games, Cookery, Pool etc.
* Access to Arts – Drama, Music, Film, Media
* Computer – Gaming & Open Access
* Educational Programmes
* Youth Café
PROJECT INFORMATION
Drogheda Youth Development (DYD) is part funded by the Department of
Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY) through
Louth and Meath Education and Training Board (LMETB) to deliver
*% targeted and *%
universal youth service provision.
ESSENTIAL PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* Education to National Diploma or Degree standard preferably in
Youth / Community Work (note: candidates with exceptional, relevant
work experience may also be considered in lieu of degree
qualifications)
* A minimum of one year relevant youth work experience

relevant to the advertised role.
ESSENTIAL PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
* Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with young
people.
* Understanding of youth work methodologies
* Excellent interpersonal skills,
* Ability to work on own initiative and effectively as part of a
team
* Positive and flexible approach to team working and working hours
* Good written communication and computer skills, including ability
to draft summary information and correspondence
